Unite Against the Cycle

HAPI was hired by United Way in 2016 to bring a more strategic and conceptual point-of-view to the brand. We conducted consumer research to learn more about the Valley’s perception of the organization and utilized the key findings to develop more solid footing for the brand. We developed a bold new creative platform: Unite Against the Cycle, a powerful call-to-action spoke to the cyclic nature of poverty and united people to help those in need. A custom graphical treatment introduced a compelling way to discuss poverty, literally catching the reader in an unbreakable cycle and introduced a more visually impactful way to grab the attention of VSUW stakeholders, donors and the public.

United Way Operation Uplift

HAPI rebranded United Way’s volunteer program Day of Action. We developed a new name, a new logo and colorful new graphics for the purpose of creating a more enduring and recognizable program. The arrow within the “U” tapped into the pride people feel when they volunteer for a good cause. We created a variety of colorful printed media in both English and Spanish, and gamification patches that rewarded volunteers for their efforts.
